Allow me to introduce myself and share a little of my story.

My name is Melissa Snyder, founder and owner of Melissa Antique Jewellery. My journey into the world of antiques began at just eleven years old, accompanying my father to antiques fairs and exhibitions. What began as childhood outings soon grew into a deep and enduring passion — particularly for fine jewellery and silver.

After graduating from high school in 2015, I pursued formal gemological studies with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), while working alongside my father as we built his antiques and jewellery business into one of the most respected dealerships within our industry. Together, we cultivated a reputation founded on trust, integrity, knowledge, and an unwavering love and appreciation for beautiful objects.

In 2025, my world changed profoundly when my father, Tyrone, passed away. In the midst of grief, I knew that the legacy we had built together was too meaningful not to continue. Melissa Antique Jewellery was created in honour of that shared journey — and in dedication to preserving the values he instilled in me.

Melissa Antique Jewellery was born from a lifelong love of exceptional craftsmanship and rare, captivating gemstones. Each piece is thoughtfully sourced and carefully examined, from initial discovery and gemological testing to its photography and final presentation. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is overlooked. I remain personally involved in every step, ensuring that each jewel’s story is honoured before it finds its next custodian.
